Abstract

IPTV provides IP broadcast and VOD, and enables users to access thousands of video content of both types. On the other hand, it is difficult for users to find video content that matches their preferences amongst this huge amount of available content. We propose a video content recommendation system with using a widget application, which can recommend video content related to the content that the user is currently watching. We implemented the proposed system in an experimental system and conducted subjective assessments using the system. This paper describes the system and discusses the experimental results.
