A newly developed method of technical condition estimating of high voltage insulators had been compared with the traditional methods: the method of determining the ohmic resistance by a megger and the method of breakdown voltage. Furthermore, the method for separate recognition of PDs on the surface of polymer insulators from internal PDs is developed. Abstract
