Abstract
Resort architecture, guesthouse and villa buildings, with a timber frame structure, are wellrepresented in the coastal towns of Fore Pomerania and Western Pomerania. In German it is called Bäderarchitektur, or resort architecture. Its intensive development took place in the years 1793–1918, only a few examples come from the interwar period. The studied examples of buildings in seaside and spa towns of the south-west Baltic coast show a variety of building types and a multitude of inspirations.
