Abstract

The SatSix project introduces a mobility architecture based on Mobile IPv6 to support user mobility at IP level. We report here the validation and performance assessment of the main functions of this architecture, based on studies that were performed with the SatSix network emulation testbed. Handover delay analysis, implementation of mobility and multicast coupling, and finally SIP with IP Mobility coupling are successively investigated.
