Two radiation nulls at both band edges are introduced by the stubs. The location of the radiation nulls are easily controlled by adjusting the lengths of stubs. A prototype is designed and simulated. The FDRA has a wide impedance bandwidth of 5.71% (3.4-3.6GHz) around 3.5GHz. The achieved gain in the passband is about 5dBi. Abstract

A novel filtering dielectric resonator antenna (FDRA) based on a new coupling structure of stub-loaded slotline is proposed.
