Abstract

To speed up the visualization of 3D big data city building model, LOD technology optimized by analysis of the linear octree characteristics is proposed in this paper. The technology supports that the remaining node data except leaf nodes were completed in the pre-processing to generate final subdivision of linear octree structure in which each node corresponds to a separate file on the disk. We also use the dynamic view-dependent technology with multi-resolution to accelerate visualization display for big data city building. Our experimental results show that the method can improve the Three-Dimensional Visualization performance, while its details are observed for big data city model building.
