Abstract

This paper considers the implementation of distributed video coding based on hierarchical wavelet transform. The low - frequency coefficients of the eighth and ninth decomposition levels are transmitted as key frames. Every second frame is skipped and interpolated in the decoder by key frames and additional (side) information containing wavelet coefficient prediction errors and considered as motion vectors.
