Luckily, Bluetooth SIG adopted the first mesh core stack into Bluetooth 5 protocol in 2017, although a newer Bluetooth 5.1 came out since then. Abstract

The evolution of networking technologies is crucial in the 21st century. The greatest challenge for the Industry 4.0 is the spread and generalization of cyber physical production systems which cannot evolve without new networking technologies.
