Abstract

With the increase installed capacity of wind energy, conventional generation starts to be replaced by wind farms, which will results in erosion of system frequency. It is thus imperative to develop advanced wind turbine control method to maintain the frequency. Considering the calculating complication of full-order models, this paper proposed a reduced wind turbine model with optimal dynamic performance.
