Abstract

This paper presents a low-profile and compact size bi-directional antenna for WLAN applications. The antenna consists of two conductor patches placing in parallel and excited by a voltage source between patch. The simulated results have shown that the antenna processes the bi-directional with the directivity of around 6 dBi at the frequency of 2.4 GHz. The HPBW in E-plane and H-plane are 70 degree and 74 degree, respectively. Also, the antenna has a good input return loss of around 40 dB at the design frequency.
