Abstract

Universal Filtered MultiCarrier(UFMC) is a spectrally efficient waveform that applies per-subband filtering to reduce the Out Of Band emissions. Thanks to the orthogonality in complex plane, UFMC retains the simplicity of conventional OFDM while addressing its drawbacks. One of the main advantages of UFMC is its compatibility with the existing OFDM techniques. For instance channel estimation can be built based on OFDM one.
