Abstract

Requirements for the temperature range, alongside with the requirements for resistance to external mechanical stresses, are imposed on all optical cables (OC), destined for outdoor use. The calculation and methodical base that would ensure at the engineering stage required temperature ranges of any OC design admitting the use of different elements in various combinations is not presented in the literature.
