Abstract

Chief academic, budget, policy, advancement, and administrative leader at the University at Buffalo School of Law, the only law school in the State of New York (SUNY) system. Responsible for over 700 students (JD, LLM and BA), more than 82 faculty and staff members plus part-time adjunct faculty, interdisciplinary research center and programs, law library, 95,015 square feet of facility space, and an operating budget of more than $15 million. Recent accomplishments and initiatives include the expansion of the law school’s diversity, equity and inclusion office and initiatives; advancement of domestic and international student recruitment efforts; further development of alumni outreach efforts to increase mentoring and career placement opportunities for current students; implementation of an undergraduate program in law, several 3+3 accelerated BA/JD programs with partner schools and a new doctorate in juridical science; the development of new clinical legal education programs including a Criminal Justice Advocacy Clinic and a Community Engagement Legal Clinic; revitalization of the law school’s Innocence and Justice Project; and several capital improvements.
