The methods of image segmentation and image representation models are considered. The models of image representation designed by the authors are described. The presented models are based on image points energy estimation. To obtain the image points energy estimation (energy weights), the wavelet transform is used. The model data allows us to analyze several image points conduction. A point is considered as a salient point if its energy weight exceeds the given or calculated threshold value. Salient points are concentrated on the region boundaries. The determination of points location is the basis of the contour segmentation method designed by the authors and described in this paper. Abstract
In the article the tasks of image processing and analysis in objects and processes control systems are described. The methods of image segmentation and image representation models are considered.
