ESD simulators can now replicate the spike. Oscilloscopes in general use can often barely recognize this wave characteristic however, due to bandwidth limitations. It is the purpose of this paper quantitatively to predict what will be dis played as a result of this ESD spike Input, on oscilloscopes with bandwidths ranging from 60 MHz to 1000 MHz.
