Abstract
The extrauterine migration of an intrauterine device (IUD) can be life-threatening and may require emergent surgical intervention and treatment. A case report where an ectopic IUD located on sigmoid colon within peritoneal cavity in a 40-year-old multigravida was successfully removed by laparoscopy is described.
