Abstract
Optimization of handover boundaries has been suggested to cope with non-homogeneous traffic distribution in GSM/GPRS networks. In this paper, an automatic optimization algorithm is proposed, which is able to maximize the overall traffic carried in the network by equalizing long-term blocking effects.
