Non-specular scattering technique will become important for Non Line Of Site transmission where diffraction can be significant. Abstract

This paper focuses on the use frequency selective surfaces to design a secure electromagnetic building where there is a need to control a mobile phone's signal in/out of the building. A reconfigurable FSS is simulated using square metallic loop which shows an attenuation of -30dB. The varactor diodes in this design can impair mobile phone signal at lower attenuation level.
