Abstract

Many real time systems evolve over time due to new requirements and technology improvements. Each revision requires regression resting to ensure that existing functionality is not affected by such changes. Testing these systems often require specialized hardware and software, and both are expensive. While the overall regression testing process is similar across different organizations, the strategies and tools used by them vary according to their product needs. Hence a good framework for regression testing should provide the flexibility to configure it depending on the particular organization's needs while at the same time maximizing utilization.
