Abstract
Modern society is dependent on mobility of people and goods in everyday life of people, integrating land use system and mobility needs in one community structure. The land use and building new transport infrastructure is relatively long process, which is based on legislation. On the other hand novel mobility concepts like “Mobility as a Service - MaaS”, in which a comprehensive range of mobility services (including public transport, private cars, cycles etc.) are provided to customers by the mobility operator, rely on rapidly evolving technology. This paper, based on authors master's thesis (Rantasila, 2015), studies links between one MaaS and land use in Finland by examining the potential impacts of MaaS on land use. The work is based on expert interviews and review of identified existing literature.
