Abstract

This paper provides an analysis of the equivalent circuit of the 1 MW battery tied to the grid. It also discusses the installation of a 1 MWh battery system at Reese Technology Center (RTC) in Lubbock, Texas. The research involves deploying energy storage devices for application in wind farms to understand the interaction between wind energy, the grid and the grid loads.
