Abstract
“Kenkokeiei”orstrategicmanagementofworker’shealthassetsinworksite attractsincreasedattentioninprivateandpublicsectorsinJapan,whiletheconcept hasbeentreatedandaimedatdifferentlybyavarietyofstakeholderswithdistinctive interests. This paper took this heterogeneity in the conceptualization as given, and intendedtomapthesourcesof“Kenkokeiei”conceptandtomatchthemeasurement ofconstructofexistingevaluationscaleoftheconcept.Firstly,weidentifiedthat thereareatleastthreedifferentbackgroundsthattheconceptof“Kenkokeiei” originatedfrom;namely,extensionofoccupationalhealthmanagement,visualization ofhumanresourcemanagementtosupportexternalinvestor’sdecision,and improvedcontrolofhealthcarecostbythecollaborationofpublicinsurerswith worksitemanagementlines.Accordingtotheoriginalbackground,different stakeholdersinpolicymakers,privateandpublicinstitutesweredifferently motivatedtoadopttheconcept.Specifically,wediscussedthreemainpolicy
