Abstract

Conventional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems suffers from loss of orthogonality due to channel time variations. This leads to inter-carrier interference (ICI) which degrades the system performance. In this paper, the time inversion and symbol time compression (TI-STC) scheme is proposed for ICI cancellation in high mobility OFDM systems. The proposed TI-STC scheme includes time inversion (TI) process and symbol time compression (STC) process.
