Abstract
An analysis of the results obtained [1] shows that the Ward method ("set-off method" (SOM) method) gives the worst characteristics by the average search time with an increase in the length of the processed segment of the pseudo-random sequence (PRS) in comparison with the majority-based method decoding. If N = 2k = 20, the method based on majority decoding yields more than double the gain. The results show that the choice of the length of the processed segment of the PRS N with an increase in destructive errors affects the average search time. The well-known works [2] do not study the phasing characteristics in short segments of the bandwidth, although it is obvious that with an increase in destructive errors one cannot simply increase N, since there are cases when the synchronization system will give worse characteristics compared to synchronization with respect to Ward’s method, or not provide a minimum of average search time for memory bandwidth Accordingly, a method based on majority decoding should, at a certain probability of error, synchronize the PRS over a certain definite segment of the PRS of length N. Therefore, it is necessary to modify the search method based on the majority processing of synchronizing information in order to increase its efficiency and optimize the synchronization mechanism.
