Abstract
The purpose of this study is to estimate the impact of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA), economic size, and economic distance on export performance of textile and textile products industries (TPT) between Indonesia and its trading partners in 2010-2018. The panel data are analyzed using the gravity model through the fixed-effect approach with the feasible generalized least square (FGLS) cross-section seemingly unrelated regression (SUR) estimation method. The results indicate that the ACFTA agreement regarding the tariff was consistently negative on exporting Indonesia’s textile and textile products. This study also finds that after joining ACFTA, Indonesia imports more textile products than exports. Moreover, the economic size was showed a reciprocal effect between Indonesia and its trading partners. Meanwhile, the economic distance was consistently negative correlations with the export performance of Indonesia’s textile and textile products.
