Rather than optimizing motor performance for a given operating point, the method considered all the specific load conditions of the motor, which satisfied the design requirement of high performance motor over wide speed range. A motor efficiency optimization case was presented. The comparative study with the traditional single operation point based optimization was also given. Abstract
An optimization method for variable speed switched reluctance motor was proposed. In this method, the performance map was obtained by calculating the performance goal over the specified torque-speed range, the integration of the performance goal over the map was used to evaluate the motor.
