Abstract
This work presents a study of the effect of developed hybrid halogen LED solar simulator. The developed system present a affordable solution for research lab's to analyze the solar cells efficiency. Two different light sources were studied and a combination solution was described. The developed system was tested with two different generation of solar cell. Current- Voltage (I-V) solar cell characterization was extracted and compared with different light sources. Incident monochromatic photon to electron conversion efficiency (IPCE) characteristics was determined in order to display the efficiency of the developed solar simulator. The developed system has noticeable improvement in both solar cells types, compared to the use of halogen lamp only.
