Abstract

In the paper, a splicing curved surface conformal phased array antenna is presented for wide coverage. The proposed antenna is composed of splicing electromechanical-thermal integrated modulus, which not only realizes fast frameless splicing and overall size adjustable but also achieves certain flexibility and versatility. Moreover, an S-band multi-beam spherical phased array antenna is built based on the splicing method, and the electrical performance is validated via electromagnetic simulation. The results indicate that the proposed design has the potential for modern wireless communication systems.
