SOCIOMORPHIC METAPHOR AS A MEANS OF THE CONCEPT OF ISLAMIC WORLD OBJECTIVATION

Abstract

productive tool for conceptualizing and verbalizing knowledge, is of great interest to Ukrainian and foreign scholars, this fact is proved by a variety of scientific studies of conceptual metaphor. The proposed article highlights the issue of metaphorical representation of the concept of the ISLAMIC WORLD . The focus is made on the sociomorphic metaphors, which simulate reality through the prism of various social spheres of human life and, in fact, it is a kind of anthropomorphic metaphor. The material of the research is selected texts of American newspaper articles (2001 - 2021) devoted to the issue of the Islamic world and its interaction with the Western world in general and the United States in particular.
