The aim of this work is to develop a standalone system for the vehicles surveillance by sending the fake vehicle registration number, over speeding vehicle registration number, odd-even vehicle registration number and many other, as an SMS to transport authority and various other departments. For the proposed application arduino is used whereas processing of images captured is done by MATLAB and data is transferred by serial communication. The basic concept and the working of the system is explained which presents a system with efficient performance of image processing and quick wireless transmission through GSM module. Abstract
