To deeply and clearly understand the heating process, this research paper presents numerical simulations of the domestic microwave oven. The simulation process consists of two physics phenomena which are electromagnetism and heat transfer. Numerical results showed that location of the container of a rice bulk placed in cooking chamber affects the distribution of electric field in the chamber and this in turn affects the heat distribution in the rice bulk. Abstract
A domestic microwave oven operating at 2.45 GHz was used in our previous work to study of pests eradication in milled rice.
