Abstract

Concepts maps has been used as a learning assessment tool. Some inconsistencies in concept maps may turn hard its formal representation and computational interpretation. The concepts repetition is one of them, sometimes occurring in the form of synonym. Therefore, the task of recognizing the occurrence of synonymy between concepts present in a concept map is an important step to the formalism of the map and, consequently, a support to evaluation tool. This work presents an analysis of approaches to recognize synonyms from the point of view of concepts maps.
