This technique utilizes a lossy transmissionline model for nonuniform continuous-source LWAs, and it was shown that taking into account reflections along the line provides a significant accuracy improvement compared to the traditional formula. In this paper, further application on arbitrary pattern synthesis will be investigated with an example of optimization under a specific pattern mask for a Half-Mode Substrate-Integrated Waveguide LWA. The cost function and optimization setup are adapted accordingly.
