Its formation and development began with the people’s return from displacement and the restoration of statehood in 1957, which prompted an upsurge in all spheres of activity. The idea of socio-cultural imperative in conveying the existential experience of the artist-creator through artistic images is substantiated. Abstract
Socio-cultural factors played a considerable role in the formation of Chechen pictorial art of the 1960s-80s. Its formation and development began with the people’s return from displacement and the restoration of statehood in 1957, which prompted an upsurge in all spheres of activity. The idea of socio-cultural imperative in conveying the existential experience of the artist-creator through artistic images is substantiated.
