Abstract

Oxide phosphors were produced from layered rare earth hydroxides synthesized by controlled double-jet precipitation at constant values pH 7 and 8. After precipitation, hydrothermal processing was carried out, which adversely affected luminescence intensity, but increased the crystallinity of the layered rare earth hydroxides. This makes it possible to obtain luminescent films with increased transparency and homogeneity from such layered hydroxides.
