Abstract
The leading branch of agriculture of the Republic of Buryatia is animal husbandry. The article considers the current state of dairy husbandry of the Republic of Buryatia and the prospects for the development of this industry. The structure of cattle and cows by farm category, milk production dynamics, cow productivity is presented, the level of availability of breeding mother stock is studied.
