Abstract

Metro emergency has always been the social concerned issues in which information diffusion is one of the most important concerns as sometimes it will decide the severity of the emergency. In the metro emergency, the passengers not only communicate with peers, but also be affected by the official information. Therefore, the opinion dynamic of passengers with the release of official information is mainly studied in this paper. In this paper, broadcast is seen as leader role as it is one of the most popular approaches to release the official information, and the passengers seen as followers. Therefore, based on the existing leader-follower BC model, we have made some improvements due to the features of broadcast itself, such as not able to move and releasing the same official information. By simulating the model by Netlogo, we mainly focus on the impacts of the time delay for officials releasing information. The simulation results are meaningful for the officials to control the information propagation in metro emergency.
