Abstract
This work proposes a four-port MIMO square patch antenna for 5G Internet of Things (IOT) applications. A Spilt Ring Resonator (SRR) is etched on the ground construction to boost the antenna's performance. The antenna's bandwidth is increased as a result of SRR. The proposed MIMO antenna has a 60*60 mm dimension at 24GHz radio Frequencies. The antenna is mounted on a 1.6 mm thick FR4 substrate. The developed antenna has a broadband function at 24–30 GHz, which is suitable for 5G applications, as per the ANSYS simulated results in this proposed work. Antenna properties such as reflection coefficients Snn −10dB, transmission coefficients Snm −20dB, gain, axial ratio, and radiation pattern are all simulated. Furthermore, for the full range frequency, the Envelope Correlation coefficients (ECC) for the proposed four port MIMO antenna design are less than 0.015. From the mathematical analysis and simulation results, the proposed MIMO antenna is better selection for 5G application with improvement is optimal stability transmission.
