Abstract

Visible Light Communication (VLC) has emerged as a promising complementary technology for existing radio frequency (RF) technology. The deployment of VLC nodes i.e. light emitting diodes (LEDs) luminaries plays a significant role in maintaining uniform illumination and uninterrupted services. In this paper we have proposed different hexagonal deployment schemes of VLC nodes for various indoor scenarios. Mathematical analysis has been done to derive coverage and interference probabilities. Further analytical results are provided to compare the proposed schemes with existing schemes.
