Abstract
The relationship between the tribotechnical failures in worm gears and the growth of dynamic loads is shown. The
nonlinearity of the growth of the wear intensity over time is revealed. An exponential dependence of wear on time is proposed,
taking into account the growth of the dynamic coeffi cient. A probabilistic assessment of the worm gear life was
made, taking into account the exponential dependence of wear on time, when using different compositions of lubricants.
