It is foremost characterized by its long silvery-gray fur in combination with a lack of duet songs in mated pairs. Abstract: Hylobates moloch (Audebert, 1797), the Javan or silvery gibbon, is a pair-living small ape which is exclusively found in the western and central regions of the Indonesian island of Java.
