By it the considwed breakdown essentially differs from a low-voltage breakdown in a reposing liquid. Tlie abnormal properties of electric discharge in a buoyant jet show both at the stage of ignition, and at sustained combustion. So the threshold voltages of a breakdown are reduced in some times already at speeds of a spray 30 mis, simultaneously approximately duration o f the prebreakdown stage i s reduced to one two order. At arc stage of combustion discharge there is a developed emitting surface, a depth of a plasma sheath about I mm.
