IMAGINATIVE COMPONENT OF THE CONCEPT “MILOSERDIE” (“MERCY”)

Abstract

the mental and psychological component that reflects the reality and situativeness of the phenomena occurring. Color, as a perceptual unit that characterizes the concept of “MILOSERDIE” (“MERCY”), is not shown by itself, but in combination with the form. The symbolism of this unity is associated with a specific physical object – “copper”, copper money and with a geometric figure – “cross”, forming a stable phrase “Red Cross”. The relationships of this fragment of linguistic picture of the world and neighboring conceptual fields are considered in this paper.
