This resolution yields a challenge because by merely looking at the targets on broadband displays, one cannot identify difference between them. So unless targets are being identified separately, resolution of crossing target is almost impossible. Abstract

Tracking is an important process in sonar data processing. Tracking not only helps in keeping the track of target, but also provides necessary information to operator. This information is used for accurate bearing calculation and finally localizing target.
