Abstract
Article deals with a possibility of more accurate measurement of the resistance standard with a nominal value that is 20 to 60 times smaller than the smallest ohmic range of the multimeter. Compared to direct or indirect one-time measurement, the indirect measurement method using multiple measurements by multiple multimeters is much more accurate. It makes it possible to achieve a relative measurement error in the range of one hundredth to a thousandth of one percent, which significantly exceeds the possibilities of a one-time measurement with a conventional multimeter. This procedure can also be used in practice to measure other resistors, not only resistance standards, without any need of special and expensive measuring apparatus.
