Time series analysis and forecasting of Atlantic menhaden catch

Abstract

The autocorrelation structure of menhaden catch data are examined, and a second order autoregressive model is applied for prediction of menhaden catch. The model is useful for year ahead predictions of catch, and the model enables calculation of confidence intervals or error bounds.
