Treaty Design, Implementation, and Compliance Benchmarking Economic Benefit - A Framework as Applied to the Cape Town Convention

Abstract

This article provides an overview of the design and implementation of the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and its Protocol on Matters specific to Aircraft Equipment, as well as compliance with these instruments, in each case, benchmarking economic benefit. It proposes a framework designed to maximise prospects that international commercial law treaties will produce economic benefits.
