Abstract

Exercise activity up to the anaerobic threshold (AT) is used in a very wide segment of the population, be it in top athletes, healthy sedentary persons, or patients suffering from cardiovascular or various other diseases. The authors have developed a new method of AT assessment using common spiroergometric parameters (work rate, heart rate, ventilation, oxygen uptake, respiratory exchange ratio) written as a software application in MS EXCEL 2000.
