Abstract

This paper presents the way to reduce losses in distribution networks separating the issues of application of amorphous alloy in magnetic cores of power transformers used in trans-former substations 20/0,4 kV. The voltage transfer of electric networks from 6/10 kV to 20 kV allows to increase the capacity of distribution networks at least 2–2.5 times within the same territory space, to reduce the number of transformer substations, to increase the quality of electric energy and the reliability of power supply systems. The results of comparative calculations of electric energy losses for transformer substations 6, 10 and 20 kV are presented.
