Abstract

Renewable energies have come to the fore in recent years over fossil fuels. In addition to the increasing consideration of the integration of renewable energy sources into the electrical network, the energy security and reliability remain essential. Solar energy occupies an important place in the global energy context. Although solar power generation has recently become available to society, it will become increasingly important in the future to regulate and control the entire system. Central control in smart grids ensures that the energy balance is maintained between consumption and production, while minimizing energy losses and maximizing grid efficiency. The voltages supplied by solar panels and solar inverters can move a large scale, in some cases, the solar power plant may result in significant network disruption. In case of failure of solar modules, these disruptions are extreme. In the present article, we present the impact a small solar power plant on the electricity network. Nevertheless, we investigated in case of PV cells and modules failure via simulations. Furthermore, what control options can be applied to the smart grid in the event of a solar module failure.
